BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Sarah Lawrence College Softball head coach,
Lauren Farina, earned her first win as head coach of the Gryphons as SLC swept Yeshiva in a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon. SLC won game one 17-2 then picked up a 13-2 victory in game two.
KEY NOTES
- Bailey Nguyen started both games in the circle, earning her first two wins of the season. The senior struck out 11 total batter across two games and threw a complete game in the second game. In game two, Nguyen drove in five runs at the dish.
- Anna Brand had three hits, three RBI, and scored two runs in game one.
- Alison Thorson smacked a three-run homerun in game one.
- Zoe Kim had two hits in each game.
- The Gryphons recorded a season-high 11 hits in game one.
GAME 1
SLC put up 10 runs in the first inning and four in the second, cruising to the 15-run victory.
Hannah Akin had two RBI and two runs scored in the first two innings.
GAME 2
The Gryphons brought home five runs in the second and four runs in the third.
Alexa Zartman-Ball tallied a hit, an RBI, and a run scored in the third inning.
