Box Score NEW YORK – The Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer team scored three goals in the second half, grabbing a 3-1 victory in the season opener against John Jay on Thursday night.
The Gryphons trailed 1-0 heading into the intermission.
Nick Fajardo evened the match at one, capitalizing on a penalty kick in the 69th minute.
Aidan Roney scored his first collegiate goal in the 76th minute, giving SLC the edge.
Peter Olszewski had the helper.
Morris Monaco Collins also recorded his first career goal, adding the insurance in the 87th minute.
Peter Olszewski was credited with his second assist of the evening.
Kian Silva finished the game with eight saves.
Sarah Lawrence outshot the Bulldogs 12-11.
