PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence College women's basketball team fell to Manhattanville College by a score of 71-39 on Tuesday evening. The Gryphons were led by junior Kendall Haymore, who earned yet another double-double, giving her eight on the season in 14 games.

By the Numbers

• Haymore led the team in scoring with 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Gryphons
• Kumi Tamura and Demitra Loukopoulos both had nine points and added two assists each

How it Happened

The Valiants jumped out to an early 6-0 lead, but it would be the Gryphons who would win the first quarter, leading 13-12 at the end of the period thanks to five points from Tamura and a late-quarter three from Colleen Coughlin. After regaining the lead in the second quarter, the Valiants would hold on for the remainder of the game en route to the victory. Strong second and third quarters helped propel the Valiants to a comfortable 20-point lead prior to the final quarter as they would go on to extend their lead to 32 by the final buzzer despite seven second-half points from Loukopoulos.
