How it Happened
Farmingdale pulled out to a two-possession lead early and maintained their advantage throughout the first half of play, answering two Sarah Lawrence surges with scores of their own to maintain a lead throughout the entire first half. It would be an 18-3 run within the final 6:55 of the half that would allow the Rams to head into halftime with an 18-point lead.
In the second half the Gryphons would come out of the gates shooting the ball well, scoring twice within the first minute to bring the lead down to 13. Despite 10 of Murray's 12 points coming in the second half, the Rams would have an answer to each scoring run by the Gryphons and would not allow Sarah Lawrence go get within striking distance, keeping them at least 13 points away for the remainder of the contest.
