BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - After falling behind 47-33 after three quarters of play, the Sarah Lawrence women's basketball team put up a 20-point fourth quarter in a valiant comeback effort that fell just short against the Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins, as the Gryphons fell by a score of 58-53 on Saturday afternoon. Kendall Haymore put up yet another double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds in the game.

- Haymore led all players with 21 points and led the Gryphons in rebounding as well with 12 boards
- Kumi Tamura scored ten points for Sarah Lawrence and added two assists
- First year Kaila Dorch scored nine points, pulled down six rebounds and totaled three steals in a solid all-around effort
How it Happened
The Dolphins started off the game strong with two strong quarters, holding the Gryphons to seven and 13 points respectively and putting up a combined 31 to take an 11-point lead into the halftime break on the back of eight first-half points from Melanieann Broderick.
The third quarter went much like the first two, with the Dolphins holding the Gryphons to 13 points once again and scoring 16 to extend their lead to fourteen points with ten minutse of game remaining. The Gryphons would go on a tear in the final quarter, scoring 20 points and holding the Mount Saint Vincent offense to just 11 as they were able to reduce the Dolphin lead multiple times, including erasing the margin to two points following a shot from deep by Tamura with 3:13 left to play. The Dolphins struggled from the free-throw line late in teh game but converted on enough trips to the line to earn the victory by a score of 58-53 as the final buzzer sounded.
