11.11.23

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's swim team celebrated senior team captain Genevieve Chiappetta in the middle of Saturday's tri-meet and ended the day with a victory over Lehman College. The Gryphons fell to Baruch to split the meet, but continued their streak of impressive individual performances.

The SLC relay team earned a second-place finish to kick-off the match, as the team of Genevieve Chiappetta, Hannah Drum, Keilani Talma and Ella Hernan finished eight seconds off the lead and 33 seconds ahead of third place.

Talma would continue her amazing season, winning the 200 yard freestyle for SLC's first victory of the day. Hannah Drum would follow suit, earning a victory in the 50 yard freestyle just two events later, finishing less than 0.3 seconds ahead of her teammate Chiappetta.

The senior would earn another second-place finish in the 100 yard freestyle, finishing half a second behind the event winner. The 200-yard freestyle relay team finished with the best time in the event, with the final swimmer touching the wall for a time of 1:52.13
