WORCESTER, MASS. - The Sarah Lawrence women's basketball team fell to Clark University on Saturday by a score of 50-88. The Gryphons will now have a break from competitions before they welcome Manhattanville for a Skyline matchup on November 29th.

How it Happened

The Cougars jumped out to an early lead, thanks to offensive struggles by the Gryphons in the first half. The team shot 20% from the field in the first quarter and 21% in the second while the Cougars were able to shoot 31% and 45%, including a 44.4% mark from deep in the first quarter alone.

In the second half, the SLC offense came to life a bit, scoring 17 points in each of the final two periods and scoring 16 of their 34 second-half points in the paint after just four points inside in the first half. The Gryphons also did more damage on the offensive boards, getting 14 second-chance points in the final 20 minutes. 25 Clark points off turnovers in the second half allowed the Cougars to remain in the lead, but the Gryphons rallied to tie the final quarter 17-17 before falling 50-88.
