BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence softball team opened Skyline play as they took on the Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins at Mary Levine field on Friday afternoon. The Gryphons fell in both legs of the doubleheader by scores of 11-1 and 12-0, scoring in the first game on a double by senior
Jordyn Medina.
By The Numbers
	- Medina was the lone Gryphon to tally a hit on the afternoon with her RBI double
- Shirin Pechefsky struck out six Mount Saint Mary batters in game one while allowing seven hits
- Isabella Zuniga also gave up seven hits in her game two start, walking one and striking out two
How it Happened
The Dolphins got ahead early in game one thanks to a nine-run first inning highlighted by a Sabrina Colon grand slam. After the first frame, the Gryphons would allow just two runs on three hits and would get some offense from Medina as she connected and drove a ball into the right-center gap to score
Sophie Grenke, who had reached on an error the play before.
In game two, the Sarah Lawrence offense was held at bay completely thanks to a perfect outing from CMSV's Jocelyn Vega, who also hit a home run and totaled four RBIs in the game. Zuniga pitched well, getting six flyouts, but it would not be enough as the Dolphins scored in all four frames to remain in control.
