Pechefsky fans Five against Farmingdale State

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence softball team hosted Farmingdale State College this weekend for their fifth and sixth Skyline games in three days. The Rams took both games, by scores of 24-0 and 16-0, and now sit at 5-1 in conference play.

By the Numbers
  • Shirin Pechefsky pitched six innings, allowing just two walks and striking out five
  • Isabella Zuniga pitched five innings in game two, allowing seven earned runs and walking just one batter

How it Happened

The Rams opened the scoring with a five run first inning and added on eight more scores in the second frame to build up an early 13-0 lead. The Gryphons were unable to get much going offensively as Farmingdale's Allie Stanya tossed a no-hitter, only allowing one runner via an error.

In the second game, the pitching for the Rams remained in control, tossing another gem as Ava Shorr struck out nine Gryphons en route to a 16-0 victory.
