Meet Recap

The first event of the meet gave the Gryphons a top-three finish, with their 200 freestyle relay team finishing just one second behind SJLI's second-place squad. The aforementioned Talma was joined by Hannah Drum, Ella Hernan and Josie Laur as the team gave the Gryphons a great finish to kick off the weekend of competing. Chiappetta took to the pool next for the Gryphons, earning a fourth-place finish in the 500 freestyle while finishing in 5:47.35, over ten seconds ahead of the next closest finisher. Talma earned a top-five finish in the 50 freestyle, one of three Gryphons to earn top-ten times in the event. Hernan and Drum finished the same event in ninth- and tenth-place respectively.

Another SLC relay team took the pool and earned a fourth-place finish, with Chiappetta, Hernan, Talma and Drum completing the 200 medley relay in 2:04.81, less than a second behind Mount Saint Mary's third-place team. The team would then take home fourth-place once again, this time in the 400 medley as the same four swimmers finished just over half a second out of third place. Talma then took the pool alone for the 100 butterfly, finishing in 1:01.41 and earning a second-place finish behind USMMA's Annie Hood who set the conference record with her first-place finish this year. Drum and Chiappetta finished behind Talma, taking home fifth- and sixth-place finishes in the same event. In the next women's event, Talma took home second place once again, this time finishing the 200 freestyle in 2:03.01.

Hernan and Chiappetta earned two more top-four finishes for the Gryphons after the 100 yard backstroke as Hernan and Chiappetta both finished in under 1:06.00, with Hernan besting Chiappetta by just 36 hundredths of a second. The duo both finished together again in the 200 backstroke, with the senior, Chiappetta, narrowly besting Hernan this time around, finishing in second place with a time of 2:20.24 ahead of Hernan's third-place time of 2:23.05. Drum and Laur would be the next SLC duo to earn back-to-back finishes, coming in sixth and seventh place in the 100 freestyle to earn Sarah Lawrence two more top-ten finishes.

Talma would then return to the pool for the 200 butterfly, once again securing a second-place finish after USMMA's Hood set another Skyline record with her first-place finish. The team's final event would be the 400 freestyle relay, where the foursome of Chiappetta, Drum, Hernan and Talma would finish with the event's second-best time, as Talma would touch the wall after 3:56.41, narrowly edging out the squad from St. Joseph's Long Island.
