How it Happened
The Gryphons and Dolphins played a close first quarter, with triples by Mattison and
Emrie Pedraza giving SLC an early lead. Another triple by Hudson extended the lead to 11-3 with 3:27 remaining. A 12-0 run by the Dolphins to close out the quarter would return the lead to the hosts and set them up for the remainder of the night. The second quarter was a similar story, as the two teams remained close until a late UMSV run gave the hosts a 12-point advantage heading into the intermission. The third quarter saw the Dolphins open up the lead, holding the Gryphons to a lone field goal and extending the lead to 29 by the end of the period. Hudson scored six of her 18 points in the final period, but not enough to close the gap as the hosts held on for the conference victory.
