Kills from five different Gryphons made it difficult for Saint Joseph, and Sarah Lawrence steadily built a commanding lead. The Blue Jays struggled to counter the offensive effort by SLC, allowing the Gryphons to even the match at one set apiece. The momentum stayed with Sarah Lawrence in the third set, which they won 25-20. Saint Joseph managed to stay competitive, keeping the score within reach, but the Gryphons' consistent play in the middle of the set proved decisive. Massey and Kazos continued to make an impact, delivering key kills that thwarted any comeback attempt by the Blue Jays. Despite some late pressure from Saint Joseph, Sarah Lawrence's defense held firm to claim a 2-1 lead in the match. The final set was a tight contest, with the hosts looking to force a fifth set.
