How it Happened
In the opening set, SLC rallied early behind kills from Kazos, Vataj, and Brynn Beck, erasing an early deficit to tie the score at 7–7. Farmingdale responded with a long scoring run fueled by Samantha Russo and Sarah Kollarik, pulling away to take the set 25–14 despite late points from Olivia Richard and Vataj.
The second set saw Sarah Lawrence build momentum midway through. After falling behind early, the Gryphons rallied behind kills from Kazos, Vataj, and Costa, closing the gap to 23–20 after a Beck service run and multiple Kazos kills. However, Farmingdale closed it out 25–20 thanks to timely swings from Caroline Lange and Alana Henry. In the third set, Kazos, Beck, and Carolyn Kelly each landed kills to keep SLC within striking distance, but Farmingdale's attack proved too steady. Russo and Lange led a decisive stretch as the Rams pulled away to finish the set 25–12 and seal the sweep.
