WESTBURY, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's basketball team returned from Long Island with a 20-point victory over the hosting Panthers. The Gryphons got a 25 point game and a near-triple-double from a pair of seniors to fuel the victory.
Notable Performers

How it Happened
Theriault was key in getting the Gryphons going early, scoring six of the team's first 12 points as the team went up 12-4. Hudson and Theriault continued to score in the first, with the first year finding classmate
Darby Stayton for a basket to put SLC up by nine. Hudson scored on a jumper and
Kendall Stephens connected from the line to wrap up the first quarter, giving the Gryphons a 14-point advantage after ten minutes of play. The second quarter started out with a Coughlin triple, the first of many for the senior, who would connect twice more from range in the period. The visitors continued to pour in the points, with
Kaila Dorch,
Ariana Spanopoulos and Theriault converting inside before Theriault stepped out for a triple of her own following the lead of her senior captain. Dorch scored six of her 10 points in the frame as the Gryphons opened up the lead to 27 points by the halftime intermission.
The third quarter was another strong shooting period, led by three more Coughlin three-pointers. First year
Miriam Kanter-Goodell got on the board for the first time as a Gryphon, connecting from long range to put the Gryphons up by 31.
Kendall Stephens added a score in the paint, but a late-quarter run by the hosts closed the gap to 22 with 24 seconds remaining. Another first-year-to-first-year connection powered the Gryphons through the final seconds, with Theriault finding Stayton for a basket before roles reversed and Theriault scored with seconds remaining to send the Gryphons into the final quarter with a 26-point advantage.
Anastasia Kol-Balfour joined in on the long-range barrage in the final quarter, striking from distance to start the scoring for SLC. Coughlin scored inside before connecting on her seventh triple of the day under a minute later. Stayton scored again and
Samantha Pape converted from the field in the final minutes to seal a dominant win for the Gryphons.
