How it Happened
The Bearcats got ahead early in both games, with seven combined first-innings runs. The Gryphons, meanwhile did their best work at the plate in the second inning of game two, as Pechefsky walked and Anderson reached on an infield single that gave the hosts a pair of runners with two outs. An inning-ending strikeout by Baruch's Reina Castro-Johnson ended the threat and kept the Gryphons scoreless. Another Pechefsky walk in the fourth and Sharp's hit-by-pitch in the fifth were SLC's only other two baserunners as the Bearcats continued to dominate on the mound.
