BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence men's tennis team celebrated a trio of seniors before Saturday's 7-0 victory over Mount Saint Vincent. The Gryphons swept singles play after taking the doubles point as the team moved to .500 this season.
The Gryphons got going early in doubles play, with a dominant win by senior
Clayton Miller and teammate
Jules Voorhoeve by a 6-1 score.
Jozef Kandrac helped senior
Leon Bronshvag to a senior-day doubles win in the second flight as the duo took a 6-2 win and clinched the doubles point for SLC.
Aidan Roney and
Connor Wood fell in the day's final doubles matchup, but the Gryphons had already taken a 1-0 advantage in the match. In singles play, Miller and Voorhoeve continued to dominate from the top of the lineup, as Miller took a 6-1, 6-2 victory while Voorhoeve did so by a scoreline of 6-1, 6-0. In third singles, the Gryphons saw their toughest task, but
Avery Romano-Villani stepped up handle the threat from UMSV. After a 7-5 tiebreaker victory, UMSV's Jacob Greiggenberger took a 7-5 victory to tie the set and force a 10-point tiebreaker. Romano-Villani rallied for a 10-6 win to keep the Gryphons spotless in singles play. Bronshvag continued a strong season and senior day, with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 victory that continued the team's streak.
Gavin Wright added to the lead with a straight-set victory in fifth singles, while
Benjamin Berkson finished the shutout with a 6-3,6-2 win.

The Gryphons (5-5, Skyline 2-3) will return to action on Sunday, April 12th for a non-conference matchup against Albertus Magnus. The Gryphons and Falcons will face off at noon on Sunday before SLC returns to conference play on Saturday at Mount Saint Mary College.
