BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence men's tennis team completed an undefeated week with a 4-3 victory over Hunter College on Saturday afternoon. The Gryphons took down the Hawks by a 4-3 scoreline for the second straight year while moving to 3-0 on the week.
The Gryphons once again fominated doubles play, sweeping the three matchups to win the point.
Clayton Miller and
Jules Voorhoeve defended the top spot with a 6-1 victory before
Leon Bronshvag and
Jozef Kandrac continued to play well with a 6-4 win.
Avery Romano-Villani and
Benjamin Berkson wrapped up doubles with a 6-2 win that kept the Gryphons flawless in doubles play for the week.
Miller dropped the top singles matchup before Voorhoeve and Bronshvag rallied for wins at the next two flights. Miller dropped a pair of tight sets before Voorhoeve took a 6-2, 6-4 victory to avenge his doubles partner. Bronshvag continued a strong season in singles play with a 7-4 tiebreaker win and a 6-4 victory to close out the matchup. Romano-Villani and Kandrac fell in closely-contested matches before
Gavin Wright closed out singles play with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win to give SLC a third consecutive win.

The Gryphons (4-4, Skyline 1-2) will return to action on Tuesday, April 7th as the team heads to Manhattanville for a 4:00 p.m. matchup with the Valiants. The team will then return to Bronxville for Senior Day on Saturday, April 11th as they match up against UMSV at noon.
