NEW YORK—On Sunday, the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) announced the 19 men named to the 2013 All-HVIAC Men's Soccer Team, recognizing outstanding play throughout the past season. Among the recipients, Sarah Lawrence College senior
Phil London (New York, N.Y./Horace Mann) and junior
Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India/Inventure Academy) were honored.
London was one of four defensemen selected to the All-HVIAC squad. The senior was a three-year player for the Gryphons and an anchor to the SLC back line. He started in 16 games in 2013, racking up over 1,300 minutes of playing time.
Pujari led the Green and White offense with 13 goals and 27 points in 2013, both SLC season records. After three seasons, Pujari is the Sarah Lawrence career leader in goals, points and shots. This year, Pujari scored game-winning goals against HVIAC foes Webb Institute and St. Joseph's College Brooklyn. By season's end, the junior had tallied the second-most goals in the league and was ranked No. 3 in points. Pujari was previously selected to the 2012 All-Conference Team and was one of six repeat honorees in 2013.
