NEW YORK—Three Sarah Lawrence College student-athletes have been selected as Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week for the period ending Sept. 15, as announced by the league on Tuesday. Sophomore Mary Kauffman (Marblehead, Mass./Marblehead) was named Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, junior Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India/Inventure Academy) was selected as Men's Soccer Player of the Week, and rookie Autumn Atkinson (Manasquan, N.J./George School) was honored as Women's Tennis Player of the Week.

On Sunday, Kauffmann completed the 5K course at Van Cortlandt Park in 21:08 to finish in 2nd overall out of 128 runners at the Queensborough Community College Invitational. In her season debut, she finished just 18 seconds behind the day's winner and paced the Gryphons to 4th overall in the team competition. Her Runner of the Week selection is the second of her career.

Pujari scored a hat trick in Saturday's 5-1 conference win over Webb Institute. After assisting on the game's first goal, the junior forward scored his first goal of the season (the game-winner) late in the first half. Pujari added two more goals in the second half, scoring in the opening and closing minutes of the period. The effort marked SLC's first hat trick since 2011 and set a school record with seven points in a game. Pujari has now been selected as a Player of the Week twice in his career.

Atkinson was selected as Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season. She played a part in both of the Gryphons' points during a 7-2 loss to Brooklyn College on Saturday—the first points surrendered by the undefeated Bulldogs this season. The first year preserved her undefeated record, earning an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles followed by a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at No. 5 singles.
