SLC placed 14th on the 8K race, beating out Skyline Conference foe Old Westbury.
Leading the Gryphons for the fifth-straight race, rookie
Daniel Higinbotham (Alpharetta, Ga./Homeschooled) paced SLC in 31:46—good for 43rd place among 141 runners. Sophomore
Pat Newsom (South Bend, Ind./John Adams) came through as the team's No. 2 runner, posting a mark of 33:00.
Sophomore
Jacob Zhu (Shanghai, China/Shanghai Jianping) stepped up to the No. 3 spot for the second time this season, completing the course in 37:51. Rookie
Jules Christeson (San Francisco, Calif./San Francisco Waldorf) followed in a time of 38:16.
Senior
Sabiel Chapnick (New York, N.Y./Excel) rounded out the Gryphon team, making his collegiate debut with a race of 52:18.
Sarah Lawrence College next competes at The City College of New York Invitational on Sunday, Oct. 12.
