PATCHOGUE, N.Y.—The Gryphons won three events as Sarah Lawrence College men's swimming was defeated by defending Skyline Conference champion Maritime College, 147-53, at Danzi Athletic Center on Friday.

Cameron Martinez (Aledo, Texas/Aledo) continued his streak of individual victories, picking up wins in the 100 yard butterfly (52.56) and 200 freestyle (1:49.40). His freestyle time marked a new season-best in the event.
Rookie
Anthony Lee (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) earned the Gryphons' other win in the meet. He won the 100 freestyle in 51.06 seconds, less than half a second off his collegiate best. Lee was runner up in the 50 freestyle, missing first place by 0.11 second with a time of 23.68.
NOTABLE TIMESLee and Martinez teamed with rookies
Dawa Lama (New York, N.Y./The Beacon School) and
Jack Langland (Ottumwa, Iowa/Ottumwa) to post a season-best time in the 200 yard medley relay (1:50.15).
Langland finished the days with personal bests in both the 50 freestyle (25.95) and 100 freestyle (56.96). For his part, Lama set personal bests in the 100 butterfly (1:03.51) and 100 breaststroke (1:11.35). Rookie
Charles Allard (Fall River, Mass./B.M.C. Durfee) set personal bests in the 100 freestyle (1:12.98) and 100 backstroke (1:39.20).
In the 100 breaststoke, two other Gryphons achieved significant marks as
Derick Edgren (Fort Collins, Colo./Auburn (Ill.)) had a personal best (1:16.09) and
Nick Ransom (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) posted a season best (1:20.19).
Callum Bayle-Spence (Brooklyn, N.Y./Friends Seminary) made his collegiate debut in the 50 free (30.43) and 500 free (7:30.50), and
Shaurya Chawla (New Delhi, India/Pathways World School) had a personal best in the 200 freestyle (2:53.77).
UP NEXTSarah Lawrence hosts SUNY College at Old Westbury in Skyline action on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The meet is the Gryphons' final competition at Campbell Sports Center this season.
