Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y.—Starting off the 2015 season, Sarah Lawrence College men's soccer won a dominating 4-0 victory over Medgar Evers College at Kingsborough Community College on Friday.

MAKING A FIRST IMPRESSIONIn his first collegiate game, rookie Gryphon
Mohamed Camara (Macenta, Guinea/New World) scored the day's first goal. In the 12th minute, sophomore
Alix Legrand (Damascus, Pa./Scranton Prep) fed a shot to the left side of the goal, and Camara put away the effort for his first career goal.
AGGRESSIVE OPPOSITIONIn the 22 minutes following the game's opening goal, Medgar Evers was whistled twice for being offsides. The Cougars pulled the trigger on three shots but also committed five fouls in that time frame.
DOUBLING UPRookie Ron Lieferman made it a 2-0 game shortly before halftime. The first-year midfielder entered the game in the 31st minute, and in the 38th, he fired a shot from the top of the penalty area that slipped into the left side of the net for his first career goal.
CHANGING OF THE GUARDStarting SLC goalkeeper
James Berry (New York, N.Y./Kent) exited the game in the 56th minute but not before racking up four saves and his first career win. Rookie
Sean Garrett (Reston, Va./Flint Hill School) took over as the net-minder, allowing no goals and saving three of the six shots he faced.
HATS OFFCamara scored his second goal in the 75th minute after capitalizing on a turnover and evading the Cougar keeper. Less than six minutes later, he earned the fourth SLC hat trick on record, scoring his third goal of the game. Lieferman fed the pass that allowed Camara to slip the ball inside the left post to give the Gryphons their 4-0 advantage. All four of Camara's shots were on target on the day.
HAVE A HEADACHE YET?The game featured 33 whistles for fouls, including 20 against the Gryphons. Fortunately, no players were booked for cautions or ejections.
FOR THE COUGARSMedgar Evers out-shot the Gryphons 12-8 on the day but failed to find the back of the net. Remorn Radway led his team with three shots, while Zeakial Daley came off the bench to contribute three shots, too. Ziyaddeen Mohammed made just one save on the Gryphons' five shots on-goal.
UP NEXTThe Gryphons host Yeshiva University in their first Skyline game of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Tibbetts Brook Park.
