NEWBURGH, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's cross country trudged its way across a slippery course and through a chilling mist to place 14th at the Mount Saint Mary College Knights Invitational at Hudson Valley Sports Dome on Saturday.

Sophomore
Zack Roccaforte (Albuquerque, N.M./Albuquerque Academy) led the Gryphons and was the only SLC runner to crack the top half of the field. He placed 64th overall, while his weather-affected time of 32:56 was 86 seconds slower than his personal best on the course. Junior
Daniel Higinbotham (Alpharetta, Ga./Homeschooled) was the Gryphons' No. 2 runner for the third time this season, taking 85th in 34:54. Rookie
Nathaniel Gabor (Amherst, Mass./Amherst-Pelham Regional) finished within a minute of his 8K collegiate best, placing 90th after crossing the line in 35:19. Senior
Pat Newsom (South Bend, Ind./John Adams) slid to the Gryphons' No. 4 position for the first time this year, but he helped to pace teammate
Bill Chang (Irvine, Calif./Woodbridge) to a personal collegiate best by a two-minute margin. The duo placed 114th and 115th with times of 40:57 and 40:59, respectively.
