NEWBURGH, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College women's cross country survived a muddy course and wet conditions to place seventh at the Mount Saint Mary College Knights Invitational at Hudson Valley Sports Dome on Saturday.

For the second time this season,
Molly Walsh (Yarmouth, Maine/Yarmouth) was the day's top Gryphon. The sophomore completed the 6K course in 28:01, good for 25th place overall and within a minute of her collegiate best time. Sophomore
Rosa Mykyta-Chomsky (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Friends School) joined Walsh among the team's top two spots for all five races this season. Mykyta-Chomsky was the 28th harrier across the line, clocking in at 28:09. Junior
Tiffany Meier (Goleta, Calif./Olive Grove Charter) was 10 seconds from a season best, clocking in at 29:18 and inside the top 50 with 49th place; she climbed into the Gryphons' No. 3 spot for the first time this season. The Sarah Lawrence score was rounded out by senior
Allyson Panton (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) and junior
Katie Shepard (Visalia, Calif./Mount Whitney). The pair worked together and placed 63rd (30:09) and 64th (30:16), respectively.

Sophomore
Isabel Edmonds (Appleton, Wisc./Appleton North) was the final Gryphon to place in the top half of the field; her time of 30:51 was good for 77th overall. Sophomore
Katherine Labadie (New Orleans, La./Benjamin Franklin) was the Gryphons' No. 7 runner, earning 85th with an effort of 31:18. Rookie
Mei Takehana (Tokyo, Japan/Perkiomen School) was on Labadie's heels, one spot and one second behind in 31:19 for 86th place. Senior
Melissa Molina (Union, N.J./Roselle Catholic) was the only Gryphon to post a season-best time, as she set a new collegiate 6K personal best of 36:04, capturing 129th place.
OTHER PERFORMANCES
