BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College swim team earned three victories, hosting a tri-match featuring Baruch College and Purchase College on Saturday afternoon.
The women's team defeated Baruch 102-40 and took down Purchase 110-18, improving to 6-1 on the season. The men's team lost to Baruch 91-50, but bounced back with an 81-20 triumph of Purchase.
The day started with a 200-medley relay win for
Genevieve Chiappetta,
Frankie Iannuzzi,
Drew Lei-Alerta, and Eva Guarda-Vazquez. The team turned in a time of 2:02.92.
The men's 200 relay team saw a similar fate.
Chaz Stafford,
Mani Roshandel,
Miles Washington, and Dylan Bernard earned first place with a time of 1:50.14.
Audrey De Szendeffy was victorious in the 1650 Free, completing the race in 19:46.62.
Chaz Stafford won on the men's side with a time of 17:58.12.
Mani Roshendal won the 100 Breaststroke, recording a time of 1:01.80.
Frankie Iannuzzi won the event with a time of 1:15.10.
The Gryphons won four more events throughout the remainder of the afternoon.
