KINGS PARK, N.Y. – Will Tway's time of 33:51.73 was tops among the three Sarah Lawrence College men's cross country team members that laced up their shoes for the 8-kilometer SJNY Invitational at Sunken Meadow State Park.
Tway finished in 75th place overall out of the 177 runners combined in the NCAA and NJCAA races.
John Nielson's 77
th place finish came in a time of 34:04.41 while
Miles Bakshi was the final competitor for SLC and finished with a time of 34:32.98 for 83
rd place.
With only three competing in the event, SLC did not register a team score as five racers are required for the team standings.
Monroe College (New Rochelle)'s Karim Belmahdi won the medalist honors with a time of 26:36.22 in the individual portion of the event and St. Thomas Aquinas finished in first place in the NCAA teams' competition with 84 team points.

Eight days will separate competitions but the next one is the biggest of the season as the Gryphons will work to prepare for the Skyline Conference championship hosted by Mount Saint Mary at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome in Milton, N.Y., on Sunday, Oct. 23 at a time to be announced later this week.
