MILTON, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence women's cross country season has come to an end after the conclusion of the Skyline Conference championships on Sunday, October 23rd 2022.
The women's 6-kilometer race saw
Quinn Van Buren post a fantastic time of 30:10.2 for a 20
th-place finish to lead all Sarah Lawrence participants. Van Buren, who was a senior running her last race as a Gryphon, finished just 12 seconds off her career-best time of 29:58.6, set just 15 days ago in the MSMC Knight Invite, a competition taking place on the same Hudson Valley Dome course.
Mira Franzen completed the course in 50
th place with a time of 36:37.4 while
Alejandra Pasquel (62
nd) and
Veronica Endres (76
th) clocked in with times of 38:43.2 and 47:49.9, respectively.
USMMA took the top three spots in the women's event, including Jaquelynn Sheedy's victory in a time of 24:14.4. The Mariners also took the team competition with 30 points.
This meet wraps up the season for the women's cross country team at Sarah Lawrence after a solid showing at the championship event.
