How does the 2017 Challenge work?
The Happy New You Challenge is undergoing a format change for 2017. Details on the event with related questions and answers will be posted on this page once the format is finalized.
How do I earn points?
This year, participants will earn one point for each day that they complete the Daily Activity. These events are held every day of the Challenge at noon and 5 p.m. You can only earn one point per day.
Can I work out on my own?
While the Campbell Sports Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., only the Daily Activities will count towards the Challenge. This year's event emphasizes group exercise, so be sure to plan a visit at either
noon or
5 p.m. each day of the Challenge.
Who can participate?
The Happy New You Challenge is open to SLC faculty and staff. Individuals with sports-center access (spouses, alumni, dependents, contractors) are also able to participate, as long as they have a current Campbell Sports Center membership. Members who are affiliated only with community classes (such as learn to swim) are not eligible for this event.
