NEW YORK—Four Sarah Lawrence College student-athletes were among those honored as Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletics Conference Honor Roll student-athletes for the week ending Oct. 13, as announced by the league on Tuesday.
Autumn Atkinson (Manasquan, N.J./George School) • Women's Tennis
Atkinson won both her matches in a 9-0 defeat of St. Joseph's. With partner
Juliet Slade (St. Paul, Minn./Central), the duo improved to 12-0 on the year and 4-0 in HVIAC play. In singles, Atkinson won her sixth-straight match in the No. 3 position, notching her 10th individual win of the year.
Elle Blanchet (Washington, D.C./Woodrow Wilson) • Women's Soccer
Blanchet helped the Gryphons notch back-to-back shutouts, anchoring a defense that held opponents to a combined two shots in a 1-0-1 week.
Nora Landes (Los Angeles, Calif./Cleveland Humanities Magnet) • Women's Tennis
Landes won both of her matches against St. Joseph's in the Gryphons' only action on the week. Playing in the lead flights, Landes shutout her No. 1 singles opponent and secured an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles with
Kayla Pincus (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights).
Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India/Inventure Academy) • Men's Soccer
Pujari scored both of the Gryphons' goals in the teams' 0-3 week. On Thursday, he erased a 1-0 deficit in the 28th minute against Vaughn. Then, on Friday, Pujari scored an equalizer goal in the first half against Cooper Union.
