NEW YORK—Four Sarah Lawrence College student-athletes were among those honored as Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletics Conference Honor Roll athletes for the week ending Sept. 22, as announced by the league on Tuesday.
Caleb Jaster (New Hampton, N.H./Sant Bani) • Men's Cross Country
Jaster set a career-best, breaking the 31-minute mark for the first time in an 8K race, leading the Gryphons and clocking in at 30:45, good for 87th overall at the Bard Invitational.
Mary Kauffman (Marblehead, Mass./Marblehead) • Women's Cross Country
Kaufmann, last week's Runner of the Week, set a career and school record with a 5K time of 19:06, placing 21st at the Bard College Invitational.
Kitty O'Sullivan (Los Angeles, Calif./Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy) • Women's Volleyball
O'Sullivan anchored the SLC offense leading the team in kills in all six matches on the week. The junior outside hitter posted a career-high 17 kills in three sets vs. Maritime and was second in kills (37) during the two-day, five-team SLC Volleyball Invitational.
Moni Spancheska (Skopje, Macedonia/NOVA International) • Women's Tennis
Spancheska made her collegiate debut this week, posting a 2-1 singles record. She shutout her opponent from Vaughn, helping the Gryphons to a sweep of HVIAC opponent Vaughn.
