THROGGS NECK, N.Y.—In the team's first season as a league member, Sarah Lawrence College men's swimming took fourth place at the 2015 Skyline Men's Swimming Championships, hosted by Maritime College on Friday and Saturday.
SLC's
Cameron Martinez (Aledo, Texas/Aledo) earned first-team All-Skyline honors, while Head Coach

Martinez put on a show with three individual wins and a runner-up finish. In the 200 yard butterfly, the junior shattered the previous Skyline Championship record with a swim of 2:02.35, nearly six seconds faster than the previous meet best. Martinez also won the 100 butterfly (54.06) and took first in the 200 freestyle (1:51.01).

The Green and White also banked points in the two relay events. In Friday's opening race, rookie
Brendan McAlevy (Fairfax, Va./Paul VI Catholic), senior
Jay Pulitano (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes), Martinez, and sophomore
Nick Ransom (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) put together a swim of 2:06.15 for fifth place. Saturday's final event saw Martinez and McAlevy join seniors
Owen Marks (Pittsfield, Mass./Pittsfield) and
Michael Turadek (Bronx, N.Y./HS for Environmental Studies) to complete the 400 freestyle relay in 4:00.04, also earning fifth place.
Other notable finishes included season-bests by McAlevy in the 50 free (26.80) and 200 individual medley (2:44.67).
