COBLESKILL, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's cross country continued the 2015 season with a third-place finish at the Stephen A. Warde Invitational, hosted by SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday.

MAKING HISTORYThe third-place team finish is the men's program's best invitational placing since winning the 1998 CCNY Classic.ZACK ROCCAFORTE (Albuquerque, N.M., Albuquerque Academy) Roccaforte led the front-running Gryphons across the line in 15th place with a time of 32:44. He vaulted from the No. 3 position last week to be SLC's top runner at Cobleskill.
PAT NEWSOM (South Bend, Ind., John Adams) Newsom was the next runner across the line, stopping the clock at 32:49, good for 16th place. He extended a streak of 11 straight races as one of the Gryphons' top two finishers.
DANIEL HIGINBOTHAM (Alpharetta, Ga., Homeschooled) Higinbotham completed the streak of three straight Gryphons across the line, finishing in 17th. He missed the 33-minute mark by a tenth of a second with an official time of 33:00.1.
VILI LEHMANN BODDICKER (Encino, Calif., L.A. County HS for the Arts) Lehmann Boddicker jumped into the Gryphons' No. 4 spot. He took 36th place in 36:26.
CALEB JASTER (New Hampton, N.H., Sant Bani) Jaster was the Gryphons' final scoring runner in 38th place. The senior finished the 5-mile course in 36:53.
JUSTIN HEFTEL (Spokane, Wash., Saint George's School) Heftel placed 52nd on the day in 38:56. His finish was critical, as his finish displaced the final runner of Sage College, which finished one point behind SLC in the team scoring.
ARI RUNANIN-TELLE (Fairfax, Va., Sir Francis Drake) Making his collegiate debut, Runanin-Telle was the seventh Gryphon across the line. He reached the finish in 41:45, good for 58th place.
JULES CHRISTESON (San Francisco, Calif., San Francisco Waldorf) In his first race of the season, Christeson crossed the line right behind his teammate. He rounded out the team in 42:06, taking 59th place.
