STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.—In the Gryphons' final dual meet of the season, Sarah Lawrence College men's swimming fell to College of Staten Island, 126-66, at the CSI Sports and Recreation Center on Saturday.

MEET FLOWThe Gryphons were able to win three events against the strong Staten Island opponents. Senior
Cameron Martinez (Aledo, Texas/Aledo) earned a victory for the Green and White, touching the wall first in the 200 yard freestyle (1:53.32).
Martinez secured his second win of the day by swimming to first place in the 200 butterfly. His time of 1:54.89 was only 0.9 second ahead of his opponent, but good enough for victory.
Rookie
Anthony Lee (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) posted SLC's third win of the day. He took first place in the 100 freestyle with a winning time of 50.92 seconds, a mere 0.18 second better than the field. Lee nearly won the 50 free, but fell 0.41 second short with a time of 23.85 seconds.
Other notable swims included a runner-up effort by junior
Nick Ransom (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) in the 200 backstroke (2:53.67). Rookie
Jack Langland (Ottumwa, Iowa/Ottumwa) placed second in the 500 freestyle (6:18.59). Classmate
Dawa Lama (New York, N.Y./The Beacon School) scored six points in individual events, taking third place in the 200 butterfly (2:36.96) and 200 breaststroke (2:38.40).
IN THE RECORD BOOKEnding the season with a 4-3 record, Sarah Lawrence records the program's second winning record in the six-year history of the varsity program. The Gryphons had alread clinched the program's first winning Skyline record (3-2) in its second season in the league.
UP NEXTSarah Lawrence will compete at the 2016 Skyline Conference Men's Swimming Championships hosted by Maritime College on January 29-30.
