Sarah Lawrence College Athletics

Hannah Lawson was selected as one of two SLC Newcomers of the Year, as presented by Director of Athletics Kristin Maile at the department's annual athletics banquet on May 4.

Lawson was the top scorer and MVP of the women's swimming team in 2014-15. Lawson made immediate contributions as the program's top breaststroke swimmer. She broke the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke marks by the end of her first semester. She also helped the Gryphons to break four of the five SLC relay records.

Lawson was SLC's only female swimmer to place in an individual race at the 2015 UNYSCSA Championships, finishing 15th in the 200 breast and 17th in the 100 breaststroke.
