Nick Ransom was named the 2016-17 men's swimming MVP and was also named Metropolitan All-Academic. He swam in all 12 meets, scoring 117 points. Ransom was runner-up in 400 medley relay at Cobleskill (Nov. 5) and placed second in 400 free relay against Mount Saint Mary (Nov. 12). He won 100 butterfly, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay against St. Joseph’s Brooklyn & Old Westbury (Nov. 19). Ransom qualified for B Final and placed 12th in 200 breaststroke at TCNJ Lions Invitational (Dec. 4). He also placed 12th in 200 butterfly and fourth in 200 medley relay at Skyline Championships (Jan. 27).
