READINGTON, N.J.—Collecting an impressive 19 ribbons total, Sarah Lawrence College equestrian began November with two All-Region shows at Briarwood Farms on November 3 and November 10. Eleven Gryphons placed in their respective classes, and seven had season-best performances.
On Nov. 3, SLC collected 10 ribbons among nine different riders. Senior captain
Camille Meder (Dallas, Texas/Greenhill School) was the lone Gryphon to bring home a pair of ribbons, placing a season-best third in Novice over Fences and sixth-place in Novice on the Flat.
Rookie
Lesedi Ntsele (Johannesburg, South Africa/Interlochen Arts Academy) posted a season-best fourth-place ride at Walk Trot. Classmate
Linnie Hall (Nantucket, Mass./Nantucket) captured her first ribbon of the season with a fifth-place ride, also in a Walk Trot grouping. In addition, junior
Millie Chen (Nanjing, China/No. 9 High School of Nanjing) became a first-time place-winner with a fifth-place ride in her Walk Trot group.
SLC's Walk Trot place-winners also included senior
Jillian Richardson (Austin, Texas/St. Andrews Episcopal), who finished fourth, and sophomore
Viktoria Czaran (Hartsdale, N.Y./United Nations International), who finished fifth.

Emma Nogami (Denver, Colo./Smoky Hill) collected her first ribbon of the season, placing sixth in Advanced Walk Trot Canter. Sophomore
Zoë Goetzmann (New Haven, Conn., Hamden Hall Country Day) rode to fifth place in Beginner Walk Trot Canter for her first career ribbon, and senior captain
Alex Dennis-Renner (Omaha, Neb./Brownell-Talbot College Prep.) rounded out the day with a sixth-place finish in Novice on the Flat.

At the All-Region Show on Nov. 10, SLC collected nine more ribbons. Once again, Meder brought home a pair, placing a season-best third in Novice on the Flat and a respectable fourth in Novice over Fences; she has nine ribbons this season. Dennis-Renner also collected her ninth ribbon of the season with a sixth-place showing in Novice over Fences.
Goetzmann improved on her fifth place ride and climbed to second place in the week's Advanced Walk Trot Canter class. Junior
Victoria Zawadzki (Falls Church, Va./The Ethel Walker School) also collected a red ribbon as the runner-up rider in her Novice on the Flat group.
Weronika Kosior (Opole, Poland, Mahindra UWC of India) matched her season best by riding to third place in Advanced Walk Trot Canter. In her grouping of the class, Nogami took fourth place for her fourth ribbon of 2013-14.
In Walk Trot, Ntsele and Richardson each placed sixth in their respective groups.
Equestrian returns to the ring on Saturday, when the team heads to the Centenary College Equestrian Center in Long Valley, N.J., for a show hosted by Stevens Institute of Technology.
