NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College women's swimmers Colette Harley (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) and Jacqueline Quirk (Millburn, N.J./Millburn) have been selected as Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Swimming Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for the period ending Dec. 8, as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Five weeks into the swimming season, Sarah Lawrence has captured all 10 of the HVIAC weekly awards.

After back-to-back Rookie of the Week accolades, Harley collects Player of the Week honors for the second time this season. The rookie was the Gryphons' top point scorer at the three-day Ranger Invitational, leading Sarah Lawrence to a second-place team finish. Harley placed runner-up in the 100 butterfly with an SLC record swim of 1:05.35. She picked up a win in the 200 butterfly, setting a new Ranger Invitational meet record of 2:30.40. Harley also came within a quarter second of a new SLC record in the 500 yard freestyle.

Earning her second Rookie of the Week selection, Quirk was the Gryphons' second-leading point scorer at the three-day Drew Ranger Invitational, helping Sarah Lawrence to a second place finish. In addition to helping four Green and White relays, the two-time Rookie of the Week honoree placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:54.53), fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:20.60) and eighth in the 50-yard freestyle (28.52). Quirk also qualified for the finals of the 200 yard IM and 100 yard free, but did not participate in those finals.
