BROOKLYN, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College softball was defeated by Brooklyn College, 10-1 and 9-0, in a non-conference doubleheader at BC Field on Saturday.
In game one, Brooklyn (19-12) got off to a fast start with seven runs in the first inning; the Bulldogs added one run in the second inning to take an 8-0 lead.

Rebecca Kuntz (Northridge, Calif., Chaminade College Preparatory) singled to lead off the third inning and advanced on a walk by
Hannah Gordon (Denver, Colo., George Washington). Two batters later, Kuntz came home on a wild pitch, putting the Gryphons on the scoreboard.
Brooklyn scored two runs in the bottom of the third inning and held the Green and White scoreless in the final two innings to seal the 10-1 victory.
Kuntz was held without a strikeout for the first time in ten complete games, giving up just two walks in the game. Brooklyn pitcher
Kayla Hill earned the win on four strikeouts and three innings thrown from the circle.
In game two, Sarah Lawrence held Brooklyn to just two runs through two innings, including a home run by
Samantha Rodriguez. The Bulldogs tacked on six runs in the third and two more in the later innings to close out the 9-0 no-hitter victory.
Marie Oneto earned the game-two win for Brooklyn, while reliever Kimberly Brennan saw action in both games. Gryphon
Anhad Hundal (New Delhi, India, Vasant Valley School) threw her sixth complete game of the season in the loss.
Sarah Lawrence returns home on Sunday when the Gryphons are set to host York College in a doubleheader at Mary LeVine Field at noon.
