LEONIA, N.J.—The Sarah Lawrence College equestrian team secured two ribbons, including its first blue ribbon of the season, at the William Paterson University Show at Overpeck Park on Saturday.
Rookie
Miko Tiu-Laurel (Manila, Philippines/The Beacon Academy) captured the team's first win by placing first in his group of Novice on the Flat. The blue ribbon is the team's first in the 2014-15 season, and the first for an SLC rider since Nov. 23 of last season. Tiu-Laurel leads the Gryphons with five ribbons in the first three shows of the season.
SLC's other place winner was sophomore
Camille Palladino (Lexington, Ky./Sayre School), who rode to fifth-place in her group of Novice over Fences. The ribbon was her third of the season.
Sarah Lawrence returns to the ring at the U.S. Military Academy Show at the Centenary College Equestrian Center in Long Valley, N.J. on Nov. 1.
