LONG VALLEY, N.J./LaGRANGEVILLE, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College equestrian concluded its 2013-14 season by riding in a pair of spring semester shows. The Gryphons captured three ribbons at a Centenary Show on April 5 at Centenary College Equestrian Center, while SLC was represented by one rider at the 2014 IHSA Zone 3 Region 3 Championships on April 6 at Crosswinds Equestrian Center.
On Saturday, senior
Camille Meder (Dallas, Texas/Greenhill School) led the team with a fourth-place ride in the Novice over Fences class. The ribbon was her sixth in the class and 10th overall for the season.
Junior
Linnie Hall (Nantucket, Mass./Nantucket) matched her season best with a fifth-place showing in her group of the Walk Trot class. Sophomore
Viktoria Czaran (Hartsdale, N.Y./United Nations International) rounded out the day with a sixth-place ride in the Walk Trot, earning her sixth ribbon of the season.
At Sunday's regional championships, sophomore
Emma Nogami (Denver, Colo./Smoky Hill) was the Gryphons' lone representative. While she did not place, Nogami rounded out a successful season that saw her collect five ribbons, including a blue ribbon at the Stevens show on Nov. 23.
For the season, 11 Gryphons tallied a total of 60 ribbons, while the Green and White had six top-10 finishes as a team.
