LaGRANGEVILLE, N.Y.—Two riders each collected a pair of ribbons, as Sarah Lawrence College equestrian picked up four ribbons at the Marist Show at Crosswinds Equestrian Center on Saturday.
In the team's debut in the 2014-15 season, rookie
Miko Tiu-Laurel (Manila, Philippines/The Beacon Academy) nearly captured a blue ribbon in his first collegiate ride. Riding in the novice classes, he secured a second-place finish in Equitation on the Flat while taking home a fifth-place ribbon Over Fences.
Senior
Victoria Zawadzki (Falls Church, Va./The Ethel Walker School) also captured two ribbons on the day. She rode to fourth place in her group of Novice Equitation on the Flat and added a sixth-place showing in Novice Over Fences.
Next week, the Sarah Lawrence College squad hosts its annual show in cooperation with Drew University. The teams will ride at Black River Farm in Ringoes, N.J., on Sunday, Oct. 5.
