Meet ResultsBRONXVILLE, N.Y.-Sarah Lawrence College women's swimming won 10 of 13 events to take first place at the 2015 SLC Sprint Carnival at Campbell Sports Center on Saturday. The Gryphons beat out five other teams to collect their fourth SLC Sprint Carnival title since 2011.

WINNING RELAYSThe Green and White squads touched the wall first in both relay events. In the 200 yard medley relay, rookie
Devon Peal (Springfield, Va./West Springfield), sophomore
Hannah Lawson (Portland, Ore./Pacific Crest Community School), senior
Sam Amberchan (Alameda, Calif./Menlo-Atherton) and junior
Jacqueline Quirk (Millburn, N.J./Millburn) made up a foursome that won the race in 2:02.58, two-thirds of a second faster than the team's debut time at Stevens. The 200 freestyle relay saw the same four Gryphons combine for an effort of 1:50.80, just four seconds off of the team record.
TRIPLE THREATWinning three races each, Lawson and junior
Gabby Risica (Narragansett, R.I./Narragansett) combined to win a majority of the 11 individual events. Lawson posted SLC's fastest 100 freestyle mark this season, winning the race in 1:00.40. She also triumphed in the 50 yard breaststroke (33.45) and took first in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.23). Her 49 points in the meet were the most of any student-athlete.
Risica picked up a comfortable win in the 50 freestyle (27.89), winning by nearly two-thirds of a second. She also won both backstroke events. In the 50 backstroke, she outswam the field by a full second with a time of 31.18, and in the 100 backstroke, she won by nearly three seconds in 1:10.90.
ROOKIE TAKES TWOThe lone first-year student on the team this season, Peal won both of her solo events at Saturday's meet. She was victorious in the first individual event of the day, winning the 200 yard individual medley with a personal best of 2:26.58, 12 seconds faster than her closest opponent. She also won the 200 freestyle in 2:09.63, winning by a margin of over seven seconds and posting the team's fastest time in the event this season.
SEASON BESTSQuirk swam a season-best in the 100 yard freestyle, earning second in 1:00.52. She also took second in the 200 freestyle (2:16.92). Sophomore
Rachel Barkowitz (Dedham, Mass./Dedham) bettered her season-best time in the 100 breaststroke, earning second place in 1:27.25. She was also runner-up in the 50 breast (40.37). Sophomore
Elizabeth Kroll (Sacramento, Calif./The Met Sacramento)'s season best came in the 100 backstroke (1:13.86), when she bettered her previous time by 2.5 seconds to earn second place.
HIGH-FLYING GRYPHONSAmberchan was runner-up in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:11.76, the team's fastest mark in the event this season. She also scored points with a fifth-place swim in the 50 yard freestyle. Sophomore
Sarah Schnapp (Taiwan/Tzu Chi) earned fourth in the 100 fly (1:20.86), and took 3.6 seconds off her season best in the 200 I.M. to earn fifth place. Junior
Kiki Michaan (New York, N.Y./Saint Ann's School) was also flying high after taking 1.1 seconds off her collegiate best in the 50 yard freestyle.
