MADISON, N.J.—Three more team records were broken when Sarah Lawrence College women's swimming competed on day two of the 2015 Drew University Ranger Invitational at F.M. Kirby Pool on Saturday. With six team records broken on the weekend, the Gryphons concluded the meet in second place.

RELAY RECORD
During Saturday's morning session, the Gryphons knocked off the SLC 800 yard freestyle relay record, last broken in February 2013. Rookie
Devon Peal (Springfield, Va./West Springfield), sophomores
Hannah Lawson (Portland, Ore./Pacific Crest Community School) and
Elizabeth Kroll (Sacramento, Calif./The Met Sacramento), and junior
Jacqueline Quirk (Millburn, N.J./Millburn) completed the event in 8:39.07. The time is a 12-second improvement over the team's previous mark of 8:51.84.
In the evening, Lawson, Quirk, Peal and Kroll placed third in the 400 yard freestyle relay. The quartet combined for a time of 3:57.80, the team's fastest mark in the event this season. Senior

Rachel Barkowitz (Dedham, Mass./Dedham), junior
Lydia Mullan (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) and rookie
Kiki Michaan (New York, N.Y./Saint Ann's School) placed seventh in the race with a time of 5:07.83.
PEAL BREAKS 1650 RECORD
In the first event of the Saturday evening session, Peal won the 1650 yard freestyle in a time of 19:44.50. She broke the team record by a margin of two and a half seconds and became only the second team member to break the 20-minute mark. Peal's day also included a personal best in the 100 backstroke (1:03.95).
LAWSON DOUBLES AS BREASTSTROKE WINNER
Lawson rounded out the weekend with winning performances in both the 100 yard and 200 yard breaststroke events. She posted a season-best time of 1:09.74 to win the 100-yard race, and in the evening, Lawson broke the final SLC record of the weekend, winning the 200 breast in 2:30.92. Her time was 0.78 second faster than her prior best, and the feat marked the 11th time she broke an SLC record in a breaststroke event. Lawson's day also included a season-best of 57.24 in the 100 freestyle.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Quirk placed in two events with a pair of career-best swims. The junior took fourth in the 200 breaststroke with a personal-best time of 2:47.88. She also placed sixth in the 100 free, swimming a career-best 58.65. In an exhibition swim, Quirk also posted a season-best of 1:17.95 in the 100 breaststroke.
Amberchan placed fourth in the 200 yard butterfly, swimming a career-best time of 2:34.29. In the next event, she took seventh place in the 100 backstroke in 1:13.19. In the evening, the senior swam an exhibition race in the 200 backstroke, posting a new career-best time of 2:32.57.
Kroll earned a pair of individual fourth-place finishes on the final day of competition. In the 100 backstroke, she placed fourth with a career-best 1:11.61. In the 200 backstroke, her time of 2:34.64 was also good for fourth. Kroll rounded out her weekend with a new career best in the 100 freestyle (1:03.64).
Mullan competed in the first heat of the day and earned a new career-best swim in the 200 butterfly. She touched the wall in 3:11.82, good for fifth place. Mullan also made her career debut in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:57.03.
Barkowitz earned seventh-place in the 200 yard breaststroke with a season-best swim of 3:03.79. In the morning session, she collected a point in the 100 breaststroke, placing eighth with a season-best of 1:24.56. Barkowitz also had a new season best in the 100 freestyle (1:09.90).
Michaan rounded out the team's scoring with a sixth-place finish in her first ever 200 yard backstroke (4:04.30). She also made her debut in the 100 backstroke (1:45.09).
