DEEP IN THE ARCHIVES
Sarah Lawrence's fourth-place finish is the team's best in the current era of the team (since 2008). In the four previous appearances, the Gryphons never did better than sixth. SLC's best finishes at Bard College were both recorded in the late 1990s. Sarah Lawrence won the event in 1997 and took third place in '98.

LEADING THE PACK
Kauffman finished her seventh-straight race in the top 10, finishing in seventh place overall with a time of 20:19. Rookie Isabel Edmonds (Appleton, Wisc./Appleton North) cracked the top-20 for the third time in as many weeks. She crossed the line in 18th place at 21:42, her fastest time of the season.

BACK-TO-BACK
Despite 19 seconds difference, sophomores Tiffany Meier (Goleta, Calif./Olive Grove Charter) and Katie Shepard (Big Pine, Calif./Mount Whitney) finished in consecutive positions, 32nd and 33rd. Meier was the Gryphons' No. 3 runner for the third-straight week and reached the finish in 22:27, while Shepard completed the course in 22:46.

BOOSTING THE GRYPHONS
Sarah Lawrence's final three scorers helped secure the team's overall finish. Rookie Molly Walsh (Yarmouth, Maine/Yarmouth) finished among SLC's top five for the third week, taking 51st in 23:21. Sophomore Nawshin Abanti (Dhaka, Bangladesh/International School Dhaka) placed 60th in 24:03, marking back-to-back weeks as the No. 6 Gryphon. Junior Allyson Panton (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) finished on Abanti's heels, jumping two spots to the team's No. 7 slot and earning 61st overall.

BRINGING THEM HOME
Senior Pauline Stanfiel (South Bend, Ind./John Adams) cruised to 68th on the day in 24:23, narrowly missing the top half of the field. Rookie Katherine Labadie (New Orleans, La./Benjamin Franklin) finished in 76th place (25:34) in her second collegiate race, and sophomore Danielle Dyen-Shapiro (Estero, Fla./Cypress Lake) completed the course in 33:30.

UP NEXT
Sarah Lawrence has a two-week break before racing at the Mount Saint Mary Knight Invite on October 3. The race serves as a preview of the Skyline Championship, to be held on the same course on October 25.
