COBLESKILL, N.Y.—In the team's first dual meet of the season, Sarah Lawrence College men's swimming was defeated by SUNY Cobleskill, 138-60, in non-conference action at Bouck Hall Natatorium on Saturday.

LEE BREAKS BACKSTROKE RECORD
Sophomore
Anthony Lee (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) notched the team's first broken record of the 2016-17 season with his victorious swim in the 200 yard backstroke. He took eight seconds off his previous best in the event and edged the team's previous mark by 1.4 seconds, touching the wall in 2:15.71. Lee also had a winning swim in the 50 freestyle, reaching the finish in 23.13, two seconds ahead of his competition.
GRYPHON RELAYS
The Green and White swam to runner-up finishes in both relay events. In the 400 medley relay, Lee , sophomore

Charles Philip Sheridan Allard (Fall River, Mass./B.M.C. Durfee) and sophomore Shauya Chawla placed second in the 200 freestyle relay (2:02.27), taking three seconds off the quartet's previous best.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Edgren swam to second place in a pair of events with two season-best efforts. He was second in the 200 individual medley (2:27.51) and in the 200 breaststroke (2:43.52). Langland earned second place in the 200 freestyle (2:17.24) with a third place in the 100 freestyle (58.08). Chawla also had a second-place swim, placing as runner-up in his first-ever 1000 freestyle (16:49.54).
Kleppe earned third place in the 200 backstroke (2:52.27) while also setting a new best with his 50 freestyle relay split (28.48). Behrman swam to third place in the 500 freestyle (7:57.31), and Ransom also earned a third-place finish with a personal best in the 200 butterfly (3:04.63). Allard earned fourth place in his first swim in the 200 butterfly (3:35.73) and another fourth with a season-best in the 200 freestyle (2:42.83).
