Box Score 2 NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—Sarah Lawrence College softball continued its spring-break road trip with a pair of games at North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex on Tuesday. The Gryphons were dealt losses by Rutgers University-Camden, 11-3, and Eureka College, 7-0.

AGAINST RUTGERS-CAMDENOn the first pitch of the day, rookie
Taryn Penna (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) hit a single to right center field. Sophomore
Riley Vuyovich (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) followed with a single, and first year
Olivia Henry (Pittsburgh, Pa./Sewickley Academy) scored the team's first run on a sacrifice fly. The Gryphons held Rutgers-Camden from scoring in the first two innings, and carried their 1-0 edge into the third.
Junior
Erin Chafatelli (Nashville, Tenn./McGavock) walked to lead off the top of the third, and Penna blasted an RBI-triple to left center, extending the Green and White advantage. Vuyovich reached first with her second hit of the game, and Henry singled up the middle for her second RBI of the contest.
Rutgers-Camden went to its bullpen in the fourth inning and kept the Gryphons from scoring again. At the plate, the Scarlet Raptors tied the game on three runs in the bottom of the frame, and Rutgers-Camden kept the offense moving to close out the game in six innings.
Sophomore
Kamaron McNair (Lawrenceville, N.J./The Hun School) singled in the fourth inning, and Vuyovich finished 3 for 3 after doubling in the fifth inning. Henry finished 2 for 2, batting in a pair of runs. McNair struck out three batters, and Vuyovich pitched an inning in relief.
For Rutgers, Brittany Scott earned the win with three strikeouts in relief. Abby Merryman had two strikeouts over the first three innings. Shortstop Katie Larson went 3 for 4 with two runs batted in and a double.
AGAINST EUREKAAfter being held to one hit against the Red Devils in the teams' season opener on Sunday, Sarah Lawrence fared much better during Tuesday's rematch. Vuyovich singled in the first inning, and Henry added a hit in the fourth inning. McNair doubled in the fifth, and rookie
Mikayla Cunningham (Mayville, Mich./Millington) added the team's fourth hit in the seventh inning.
On defense, the Gryphons held Eureka to two runs and three hits over the first three innings. Eureka tacked on five runs late in the game.
In the circle, Cunningham tossed her third complete game of the season. For Eureka, Rachel Patterson earned the win with four strikeouts over seven innings. Catcher Kerrigan Dura hit 3 for 4.
UP NEXTSarah Lawrence wraps its roadtrip against Albright College and Southern Vermont College on Wednesday. The Gryphons return home to Bronxville and are scheduled to host The Sage Colleges on Saturday and Yeshiva University on Sunday, weather permitting.
