Box Score 2 BRONX, N.Y.—In the Gryphons' Skyline finale, two home runs highlighted a dominant performance as Sarah Lawrence College softball outscored Yeshiva University by a combined margin of 35-1 in a doubleheader sweep at Bahoshy Softball Complex on Sunday.

GAME ONE
The Gryphons scored nine runs on eight hits and five errors in the first inning of the evening. Lead-off sophomore
Taryn Penna (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) highlighted the frame with a single and a triple, coming home for two of the runs.
In the second inning, junior
Kamaron McNair (Lawrence Township, N.J./The Hun School) stamped her name in the SLC record book. Senior
Erin Chafatelli (Nashville, Tenn./McGavock) led off with her second hit of the game, a double to left field. Penna and junior
Sarah Shapiro (Germantown, Md./Northwest) both singled as each notched their third hit of the game, and rookie
Mackenzie Mindish (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) loaded the bases. As the seventh batter to come to the plate in the inning, McNair blasted a home run to left center field, becoming the first Gryphon to record a grand slam in program history. SLC would lead 16-0 after two innings.
The Gryphons scored two more runs in each of the third and fourth innings to round out their 20-0 shutout.
In the circle, McNair tossed a five-inning shutout, allowing just two hits while striking out five Maccabees. From the plate, she helped her own cause by batting in an SLC-record seven runs.
Shapiro finished the game with a team-record six hits, going 6-for-6 with five runs and two others batted in. Penna (5-for-6), Chafatelli (4-for-5) and Mindish (2-for-3) each had a multi-hit game, as did rookie
Karissa McAuley (Loudonville, N.Y./Colonie) (3-for-4). Rookie
Kelsey Copley (West Jefferson, Ohio/West Jefferson) hit 2-for-4 in the game, and sophomore
Mikayla Cunningham (Mayville, Mich./Millington) hit 2-for-5. Rookie
Isoke Atiba (Los Angeles, Calif./Duarte) scored two runs.
GAME TWO
Mindish hit her first collegiate home run to start the scoring in the second game of the twinbill. Her solo shot in the first inning put SLC on top, 1-0.
SLC did its damage in the second inning, scoring 11 runs on nine hits and two Yeshiva errors. McAuley hit two doubles in the inning, including a 2-RBI shot to left field. Cunningham added a 2-RBI single to center field, and Penna hit a 2-RBI double to the outfield.
With a 12-1 lead after two innings, the Gryphons tacked on a run in the third inning thanks to Mindish hitting her second double (and third hit) of the game.
The Green and White added two more runs in the fourth inning, following three straight singles by Atiba, Penna and Shapiro.
In the circle, first year McAuley pitched the complete game and struck out 11 of the 20 batters that she faced, setting a new SLC record for strikeouts in a game. She gave up just three hits and one walk with a lone unearned run. From the plate, McAuley had a 4-for-4 outing with three runs batted in and two runs scored.
Chafatelli went 4-for-4 in her final Skyline game, while Copley (3-for-3) and Mindish (3-for-4) each tallied three hits. Penna (2-for-4) and Shapiro (2-for-4) notched a pair of hits apiece.

In addition, the Gryphons finished the 2017 conference campaign with four Skyline wins, doubling their total from the '16 season. In its third season in the league, the team picked up its first-ever sweeps of Old Westbury and Yeshiva.

Sarah Lawrence is slated to host Lehman College on Wednesday if field conditions are suitable after Tuesday's forecasted rain. The Gryphons are scheduled to conclude their season on Saturday with a visit to the College of New Rochelle.
