BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – For a second time this season, Sarah Lawrence sophomore
Drew Lei-Alerta has been named Skyline Swimmer of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
Lei-Alerta began the week with a Skyline tri-meet against Merchant Marine and Purchase, earning a victory in the 200-fly (2:20.85), while posting a second-place finish in the 200-IM with a time of 2:22.41.
At the two-day Snow Flurries Invitational, Lei-Alerta recorded the second-most points at the meet (506.8). The sophomore was the best swimmer in the 200-fly, finishing in 2:15.99, shaving four seconds off her previous season-best. She was also victorious in the 100-fly, finishing in 1:01.70, her best swim in the event this season. In addition, Lei-Alerta had her best race of the year in the 200-IM, finishing second with a time of 2:19.40.
Next on the schedule for Sarah Lawrence is the FIU Sprint Invite on Jan. 4 in Miami, Fla.
