PURCHASE, N.Y. – Drew Lei-Alerta won three Skyline championships, highlighted by a record-breaking performance, to lead the Sarah Lawrence women's swimming team to a fourth-place finish at the two-day 2020 Skyline Swimming & Diving Championships at Purchase College.

LEI-ALERTA EARNS SKYLINE TITLES
Lei-Alerta was crowned Skyline Champion in the 100-back, touching the wall in 1:02.77, a season-best.
For a second straight year, the sophomore was the league's top swimmer in the 200-fly, winning the race in 2:15.21, breaking the Skyline record.
Lei-Alerta also won gold in the 100-fly for a second consecutive season, winning the event in 1:00.22, a season-best.
In addition, Lei-Alerta reached the podium in the 200-IM, finishing third with a time of 2:20.27.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Audrey de Szendeffy scored in four events for the Gryphons. In the 1,000-free, the sophomore finished sixth with a time of 12:16.19, a season-best. Szendeffy also posted a top-10 finish in the 200 free (2:14.88). She also scored in the 100-free with a time of 1:01.18, shaving three seconds off her previous season-best. In addition, Szendeffy posted a top-10 finish in the 500-free, touching the wall in 5:50.17.
Competing at her first conference championship meet, Katherine McKane reached the podium in the 100-breast, finishing third with a time of 1:12.17. The rookie also scored in the 100-back, touching the wall in 1:06.47, shaving three seconds off her previous season-best. In the 200-breast, McKane finished fifth with a time of 2:39.02, her best effort in the event this season. In addition, she finished fourth in the 200-IM, touching the wall in 2:22.50.
Frankie Iannuzzi scored for SLC in the 100-breast, finishing in 1:24.48, her best performance of the season. The rookie scored in the 200-breast with an effort of 3:10.95, her best swim in the race this year. Â Iannuzzi also posted her best swim of the campaign in the 50-free (29.71).
Caitie Adler added to the Gryphons' point total in the 100-breast, finishing in 1:22.58, a season-best, while Lillian Eaton recorded her best performance of the year in the 50-free (30.21).
RELAYS
In the 200-medley relay, a team comprised of McKane, Iannuzzi, Lei-Alerta and Szendeffy finished fourth with a time of 2:04.14. The quartet also placed fourth in the 400-free relay, finishing in 4:07.31, the squad's best performance of the season.
