PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence College women's swimming team took home second place, earning 206 points at the Skyline Conference Championships on Sunday afternoon. Head coach
Daniel Drury was named Skyline Conference Coach of the Year.
Drew Lei-Alerta was named First Team All-Conference in the 100 Yard Butterfly, turning in a time of 59.86. The senior was also awarded Second Team All-Conference honors in the 100 Yard Backstroke and the 100 Yard Freestyle, recording times of 1:01.30 and 55.64, respectively.
Lei-Alerta was also a member of the second place 200 Yard Medley Relay team along with
Genevieve Chiappetta,
Audrey de Szendeffy, and
Frankie Iannuzzi. All participants earned Second Team All-Conference selections for the finish. The same team finished second in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:54.27.
For Drury, the Skyline Coach of the Year award marked the fourth of his career. The first-year head coach won three with Mount Saint Mary College.
